The RCPCH conference makes a return to Birmingham on 25-27 March 2024. Medical enthusiasts can further look forward to a hectic three days of insightful exchanges involving eminent experts. In addition, the event will also provide informative specialty sessions and priceless networking opportunities. The theme of the RCPCH Conference March 2024 edition of the conference is ‘Building a bright future together’.
The International Convention Centre will host this fabulous event. Besides, the programme is coming together with many talks and sessions. MRCPCH Pediatrics aspirants will be able to update their knowledge on the clinical areas that are relevant to them with the input of more than 35 specialty groups.
An unforgettable in-person experience is what the conference is planning to offer. However, taking into account that everyone cannot be physically present, a virtual programme is also accessible. This provides a unique opportunity to take part in this flagship event from anywhere in the world.
The event will start on 25 March with a welcome address by RCPCH President Dr Camilla Kingdon. This will be followed by a keynote address by Professor Sir Michael Marmot CH who is the Director of UCL Institute of Health Equity. Abstract presentations and Prize presentation ceremonies will be the other attractions. Participants can further look forward to specialty and special interest sessions.
Participants may start Day 2 of the event by joining the group five-kilometre run led by Dr David Evans who is the former VP for Training and Assessment. In addition, keynote address on Day 2 will be delivered by Dr Richard Scott who is the Interim CEO for Genomics England. Furthermore, this will be followed by Abstract presentations and prize presentation ceremonies. Workshops, specialty and special interest sessions, annual general meeting and conference dinner are the other activities for Day 2.
A rejuvenating yoga session under the guidance of an expert instructor awaits the participants on Day 3. Keynote address for the day will be by Dr Umang Patel, Chief Clinical Information Officer at Microsoft and Paediatric Doctor at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust. This will be followed by Abstract presentations. Lastly, specialty interest sessions and workshops will complete the order of the day.
