MRCPCH AKP eligibility criteria
To apply for the MRCPCH AKP May 2026 exam, candidates must hold a valid Primary Medical Qualification (PMQ) accepted by the General Medical Council (GMC). The qualification must be eligible for GMC registration or recognised by the GMC if obtained overseas.
About MRCPCH AKP
The MRCPCH is a four-step examination, in which three of them test your theoretical knowledge and the last one evaluates your practical skills and professionalism. The MRCPCH AKP (Applied Knowledge in Practice) is one of the three theory exams you need to clear to achieve the ‘MRCPCH’ postnominal.
