MRCPCH Exam Overview

Eligibility Requirements

Exam pattern

The exam includes three written examinations and one clinical examination.

Foundation of Practice (FOP)

Theory and Science (TAS) Exam

The TAS exam tests the knowledge of the science behind paediatric practise.

FOP and TAS are held on the same day, in the morning and afternoon, respectively.

Applied Knowledge in Practise (AKP) Exam

AKP consists of two tests regarding clinical scenarios.

MRCPCH Clinical exam

The final part is the MRCPCH Clinical exam. The clinical examination consists of 12 clinical scenarios.
