MRCPCH Exam

Are you a medical aspirant looking to build your career in paediatrics and child health? If so, the MRCPCH exam opens doors to numerous opportunities. The Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) is a prestigious qualification for doctors aspiring to enter the UK’s National Health Service at a registrar level.

Are You Eligible?

Before applying for the MRCPCH exam, you need to check the eligibility criteria to ensure that you can apply for the examination.

To be eligible for the MRCPCH exam, your primary medical qualification should be recognized by the GMC.

To successfully complete the MRCPCH Clinical exam, RCPCH recommends that candidates undergo training for a period of two and a half years after graduation. At least one year of experience treating emergency paediatric patients is required. Additionally, aspirants need to spend six months of the first year after graduation as a house paediatrician.

Application Process

To apply for the MRCPCH exam, you need to create an online account with an RCPCH number. Ensure that you enter your name and other details accurately. Once you’ve entered your personal details, proceed to register for the exam by completing the registration form. Before submitting the registration form, review the declarations and carefully read the exam rules and regulations.

RCPCH recommends January, May, and September as the ideal months to apply for registration. The registration process typically takes up to 10 days to process. Once your registration is accepted, you can apply for an exam during the relevant time periods. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis before the closing date.

If you are an aspirant preparing for the MRCPCH qualification, gain an in-depth understanding of the eligibility criteria and application process. You will be able to achieve success.
